Exam Objective

The aim of the examination is to determine whether the candidate has a command of the German language at level B1 (DTE/Integration exam B1) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

With regard to the content on knowledge of values and orientation, it is determined whether the test taker possesses knowledge of the basic values of the legal and social order of the Republic of Austria.

The modalities for conducting the language examination at level B1 (DTÖ) and the integration examinations at levels A2 and B1 are laid down in the Integration Act, Federal Law Gazette I No. 68/2017 as amended, (IntG) and in the Integration Act Implementation Ordinance, Federal Law Gazette II No. 286/2019 as amended, (IntG-DV) respectively.
