ÖSD Certificate B1 (ZB1)

Exam objective

The ÖSD Zertifikat B1 exam tests the ability to use the language independently in everyday and professional situations involving familiar topics and personal areas of interest.

This exam is offered for learners aged 16 and over and in a version for young people aged 12 and over.

The exam consists of four modules, whereby the reading, listening, writing and speaking modules can be taken independently of each other at different times.

The Zertifikat B1 exam is a joint product of the ÖSD, the Goethe-Institut (GI) and the Learning and Research Center of the University of Fribourg/Switzerland and is offered worldwide by both the ÖSD and the Goethe-Institut.
